Kenneth Duncan Sr.

Serving with Ball-Out Academy since 2022

Kenneth Duncan Sr. is a dedicated mentor and coach at "BALL OUT ACADEMY" since 2022. With over 30 years of coaching experience, he has nurtured and guided high school and travel ball players, as well as young developmental athletes, not just in the game, but also emotionally. Kenneth's coaching extends beyond basketball and football; he has also delved into other sports and even specialized in science and technology, focusing on antiglare and re-entry window coding for outer space vehicles. Kenneth's career took a historic turn when he worked on the Space Shuttle Challenger, notably after the tragic loss on January 28, 1986. Collaborating with figures like Ronald McNair and Christa McAuliffe, he contributed to advancements in window coding technology. Beyond his technical achievements, Kenneth has been an unwavering advocate for civil rights, notably serving as a coordinator and master of ceremonies for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King celebration for over 40 years. He has had the honor of meeting influential figures like Jesse Jackson and Dr. Martin Luther King III, playing a significant role in supporting their endeavors, including introducing Jesse Jackson during his presidential bid. In his personal life, Kenneth is a devoted father who has raised two boys and twin girls, instilling in them the importance of resilience and success. When it comes to Ball-Out_ Academy, His greatest joy comes from witnessing the growth and development of the children he mentors and coaches, cherishing the moments when he sees "the light come on" in their hearts and minds, not only as he mentors them, but even when encountering those same children later in life. Kenneth's enduring commitment to nurturing young talent and advocating for social change has left an indelible mark on his community.
