What It Is
Uniting Sacramento's neighborhoods, this co-ed basketball league is designed to reduce violence by fostering respect, understanding, and community.
Who It's For
Youth in elementary, middle, and high school (up to 11th grade) from across 8 Sacramento neighborhoods.
Key Focus
Violence reduction, cross-neighborhood relationship building, and an 8-week character-building course.

THIS IS BIGGER THAN BASKETBALL
In partnership with the Sierra Health Foundation, Kings and Queens Rise provides young people opportunities to engage in inter-community activities, which help prevent and interrupt violence. The program offers a caring and safe environment where mentors teach community building and sportsmanship. Part of the Sacramento Kings Jr. Kings program, the eight-week basketball season will tip-off from June through August.
